Queensland is now in the recovery phase of its worst flood in 100 years.

This is what happened to Wivenhoe Dam …

This water needed to be released fast to make room for the catchment waters to come in. Thousands of homes in Ipswich and Brisbane were flooded. They thought this would never happen again after the 1974 floods.

Driving Through Grantham and Withcott

Today, I went by bus through Grantham and Withcott.

On approaching Grantham … we drove into a wall of dread and trauma.

Driving through this proud town was very eerie. I felt very sad as I looked from building to building … none of them were spared.

People from all over the world have donated money to help Queensland rebuild and the Our Internet Secrets community has dug deep.

Yesterday, Andrew and Daryl Grant, founders of Our Internet Secrets, were very proud to present Peta-Kaye Croft, Member for Broadwater, a cheque for $56,052 for the Premier’s appeal from the Our Internet Secrets community.
